English version (Deutsche Version unten): Hello lovelies, I often get asked about New York travel tips. One of my favorite places is the Brooklyn Bridge. What a cliche … I know, I know. The special thing about the Brooklyn Bridge is that it’s atmosphere changes during the different seasons and also depending on the time of the day. I walked over the bridge during winter when it was snowing, during autumn while it was windy and on a hot summer day. Moreover I was on the bridge during the day as well as during the night and each time it felt so different.

The feeling you get while you are walking above the East River from Manhattan to Brooklyn is hard to describe. Seeing Manhattans skyline while tuning around at the middle of the bridge makes NEW YORK seem so small while walking through the streets of New York and looking up to the tall buildings makes YOU feel so small.

Walking over the bridge gives you some kind of freedom and somehow a little break from the city.

Moreover it is interesting to watch the people on the bridge. You can immediately see who’s visiting New York for the first time. These people have some kind of sparkle in their eyes and a special smile that only people have who are walking on the Brooklyn Bridge for the first time.

This time I went to the Brooklyn Bridge with the photographer Michelle Figueroa whom I got to know during the Fashion Week. She’s one of the sweetest people I have met in New York and I can’t wait to see her soon in Berlin. We went to the bridge after watching several fashion shows to shoot my second Fashion Week look. I totally love my ❤ new pants ❤ from Tobi with the cuts and the lacing detail and my Steve Madden velvet boots.

Deutsche Version: Hallo ihr Lieben, ich werde oft nach Reise-Tipps für New York gefragt … einer meiner Lieblingsorte ist definitiv die Brooklyn Bridge. Ja, ja ich weiß, das ist etwas klischeehaft. Aber die Brooklyn Bridge hat wirklich etwas Besonderes. Zu jeder Jahreszeit und zu jeder Tageszeit erlebt man sie anders. Ich bin während es schneite, während es stürmte und in der Sommerhitze über die Brooklyn Bridge gelaufen, sowohl tagsüber, als auch nachts und fand es jedes Mal auf eine andere Art und Weise faszinierend. Das Gefühl, von Manhattan über den East River nach Brooklyn zu laufen und wenn man sich umdreht, die Skyline Manhattans im Hintergrund leuchten zu sehen, ist wirklich besonders.

Auch die Leute auf der Brücke zu beobachten, ist spannend. Man kann sofort sehen, wer zum ersten Mal in New York ist, da die Leute ein besonderes Leuchten in den Augen haben und ein Lächeln, das nur Leute auf dem Gesicht haben, die das erste Mal auf der Brooklyn Bridge sind.

Wenn man vom Fußgänger-Walk nach unten sieht, entdeckt man viele Taxis, die vom Flughafen nach Manhattan fahren und neue Touristen in die Stadt bringen, die noch nicht ahnen, wie diese Stadt sie verzaubern wird oder Besucher der Stadt zurück zum Flughafen bringen, die schon längst in den Bann der Stadt gezogen wurden.

Dieses Mal war ich mit meiner Freundin Michelle Figueroa auf der Brooklyn Bridge, um meinen zweiten Fashion-Week-Look zu shooten. Diese ❤ Hose ❤ von Tobi mit dem coolen Schnürungsdetail, ist mittlerweile meine absolute Lieblingshose. Wie findet ihr meine Steve Madden Velvet-Stiefeletten dazu?

Egal, ob Sommer oder Winter, ob tagsüber oder nachts, die Brooklyn Bridge ist immer wieder atemberaubend und sehenswert.
