Hello dears,

in the last months, weeks and days many exciting things happened to me. After I graduated school I started working in an ice cream shop. Some days later I received an interesting offer for an internship in Berlin. I had the chance to work for a costume designer who works for a TV production. I decided to seize this opportunity so I moved to downtown Berlin into an apartment sharing community. I had an interesting time at the movie set and in the capital of Germany. After my internship I went to the Berlin fashion week and afterwards my graduation celebration and the prom took part.

Now I am back in Hannover and the next interesting adventures are waiting for me: in some days I will celebrate my 18th birthday, my blog has it’s first „birthday“ and some days after that I will leave for Amerika.  I am so excited. Before I will move to my favorite city New York for some months I will visit San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Laguna Beach and Palm Springs amongst others. Although I am so happy about moving to New York I am also scared. How will I find my own way in the city that never sleeps and which I don’t really know? I mean … I went to New York for the first time three years ago and fell in love with this amazing city, but it’s so confusing. Hmm … probably it’s exactly this what attracts me about New York: the new, the experiences and the adventures.

I thought about what I should pack in to be prepared for summer in the city. For this outfit (look at the photos) I reserved some space in my luggage. Of course I won’t take too many clothes to America because I want to buy many things in the land of opportunity. For sure I will tell you everything about my (shopping) experiences during my time in America on my blog.

Hallo ihr Lieben,

im Moment passieren echt einige aufregende Dinge. Nach dem Abi hatte ich gerade begonnen, im Eiscafé zu arbeiten, als ich ein spannendes Praktikumsangebot bei einer Kostümbildnerin, die für eine Fernsehproduktion arbeitet, bekommen habe. So kam es, dass ich einige Zeit in Berlin-Mitte in einer WG gewohnt habe und eine super interessante Zeit am Set und in der Hauptstadt hatte. Im Anschluss kam dann auch schon die Fashion Week in Berlin, dann die Abi-Entlassungsfeier und der Abiball. Nun bin ich wieder zurück in Hannover und es geht spannend weiter: in ein paar Tagen werde ich 18, mein Blog wird ein Jahr alt und kurz darauf geht es für mich in die USA. Ein paar meiner Zwischenstopps sind San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Laguna Beach und Palm Springs, bevor es in meine absolute Lieblingsstadt, nämlich New York City geht, wo ich bis November wohnen werde. Vor drei Jahren war ich das erste Mal in New York City und habe mich sofort in die Stadt verliebt. Es ist einfach unbeschreiblich, was für eine tolle Atmosphäre diese Stadt hat. Die Stadt, die niemals schläft – vor allem für Fashionistas ist sie das Paradis schlechthin. Auch wenn ich mich schon extrem freue, in dieser unglaublichen Stadt zu wohnen, habe ich ehrlich gesagt auch ein bisschen Angst … wie werde ich mich in so einer großen Stadt ganz alleine zurechtfinden? Aber vielleicht ist es auch gerade das, was mich daran so reizt: die Ungewissheit, das Abenteuer, die Erfahrungen und das Neue.

Julia alleine in New York … klingt fast wie eine Fortsetzung von dem Film „Kevin allein in New York“, nur dass das Drehbuch für diesen Film noch nicht geschrieben ist … naja, genug philosophiert.

Um für den „Summer in the City“ gut ausgestattet zu sein, habe ich schon überlegt, was ich so mitnehmen werde. Diesem Outfit (siehe Fotos) habe ich schon einen Platz in meinem Koffer reserviert. Natürlich werde ich nicht  zu viel einpacken, damit mein Shoppingrausch in den USA nicht meinen Koffer sprengt. Über meine Shoppingausbeute und meine Erlebnisse im Land der unbegrenzten Möglichkeiten, werde ich euch natürlich auf dem Laufenden halten.
