English version (Deutsche Version unten): Hello lovlies, some of you might have seen my Brooklyn Bridge post already. In Brooklyn, at the other side of the bridge you can find the Brooklyn Bridge Park. I can spend hours here with walking along the promenade, looking at the beautiful vintage carousel or sitting at the steps of Dumbo to watch the sunset or the lights of Manhattan’s skyline at night. I think there is no place with a better view on the skyline.
I got so many favorite places, favorite cafes and shops as well as ‚inside‘ places that are not so touristic yet that I will share with you as a New York Travel Guide, soon.

Deutsche Version: Hallo ihr Lieben, einige von euch haben vielleicht schon meinen Brooklyn Bridge-Post gelesen. Am anderen Ende der Brücke, auf der „Brooklyn-Seite“, befindet sich ein weiterer meiner Lieblingsorte, der Brooklyn Bridge Park. Hier gibt es so viele schöne Ecken. Zum einen natürlich die Wiesen mit direktem Blick auf die Skyline, das wunderschöne alte Kinderkarussell, die Promenade zum Spazierengehen und natürlich die Ecke mit den Stufen, die sich perfekt für ein kleines Picknick eignet. Ich komme hier immer wieder gerne her, um den Sonnenuntergang zu sehen oder die Skyline in der Dunkelheit zu bewundern.
Ich habe mittlerweile so viele Lieblingsorte, Lieblingscafés, Lieblingsgeschäfte und „Geheimtipps“, die ich demnächst in einem New York Travel Guide auf meinem Blog veröffentlichen werde.

LOVE the red velvet play suit! I’m a huge fan of velvet! I have collected many velvet coats and jackets over the years. The Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Central Park are faves of mine. I like window shopping, and popping in and out of galleries and boutiques in SOHO!
Other than that, I’ve had great experiences just walking in neighborhoods not on the tourist trail. So much to see & do. I could live there!

I totally agree with you. I love walking through the neighborhoods as well. There is always so much to see and it’s just interesting to walk through the little side streets. Sometimes you even find some interesting murals. 😉
Soho is also one of my favorite areas … I love the little boutiques and galleries, too. So unique.
… But Toronto is great as well! Hope to meet you there one day. 🙂

Die Brooklybridge finde ich genial, den Park ebenfalls. Ich schlendere immer gerne durch SoHo, China Town. Die Aussicht oben vom Rockefeller Center ist grandios. Warst Du schon mal in der Cathedral of Saint John the Divine in der W 110 St.? Da gibt es ein Triptychon von Keith Haring. Die Public Library 42th Street hat einen genialen Lesesaal, die Grand Cemtral Station ist toll, das 9/11-Memorial ist beeindruckend (ich war noch oben auf dem Zwillingstürmen…) usw usf. New York ist schlicht genial….

Lieber Ralf, ich schliße daraus, dass du auch ein großer New York-Fan bist. 😉 China Town und Soho finde ich auch ganz toll.
Die Cathedral of St. John the Divine have ich leider nicht von innen gesehen, aber die steht jetzt für das nächste Mal auf meiner To-Do-Liste. 😉 Die Public Library habe ich nur von außen gesehen, aber von innen muss ich sie mir auch mal anschauen.
Dass du auf den Zwillingstürmen warst, ist ja unglaublich. Das ist bestimmt ein komisches Gefühl im Nachhinein, da oben gewesen zu sein, oder?
