Deutsche Version: (English version below) Hallo ihr Lieben, einige erinnern sich vielleicht noch daran, dass ich im Januar das erste Mal in Australien war und in der Zeit einen Great Ocean Road- Roadtrip gemacht habe. Auch während meiner zweiten Reise stand die Great Ocean Road wieder auf meiner Liste. Dieses Mal bin ich mit Freunden in ein Strandhaus nach Aireys Inlet gefahren, wo wir Surfen gegangen sind und ein tolles Barbecue im Garten hatten. Ich war zum ersten Mal in meinem Leben surfen und musste mich erstmal mit dem Surfbrett zurechtfinden. Bei den ersten Versuchen wurde ich immer wieder von den Wellen vom Board gerissen, aber allmählich hatte ich den Dreh raus und konnte mich ein paar Mal sogar hinstellen, ohne herunterzufallen. Zum Schluss hat es mir richtig doll Spaß gemacht. Mit Sicherheit werde ich es demnächst wieder probieren 🙂

Das Strandhaus, in dem wir waren, hatte einen wunderschönen kleinen Garten und war umgeben von zahlreichen Blumenbeeten … die perfekte Location für in tolles BBQ. Entlang der Great Ocean Road gibt es viele solcher  Strandhäuser nah am Meer. Wer es sich leisten kann, verbringt mit Familie oder Freunden das Wochenende in seinem beach house. Ob modern designt oder hübsch mit wunderschönem Garten – die Australier lieben es, in ihren Strandhäusern Abstand vom Alltag zu bekommen und sich über’s Wochenende zu erholen.

Am letzten Tag sind wir zum Aussichtspunkt auf einem kleinen Berg gelaufen, auf dessen Spitze ein schöner, alter Leuchtturm steht. Der Split Point Lighthouse wurde 1891 konstruiert und erhebt sich über die Great Ocean Road. Der Blick aufs Meer von dort oben ist einfach atemberaubend. Vor allem, da der Aussichtspunkt nicht so bekannt ist unter Touristen und es deshalb relativ ruhig dort ist.

Das Kleid, das ich auf den Fotos trage, habe ich übrigens selbst gemacht und per Hand mit Pailletten und Perlen bestickt. Wie gefällt es euch?

English version: Hello lovelies, maybe you remember that I went to Australia for the first time in January this year?! A part of my journey was a trip to the Great Ocean Road.

Also in October, during my second Australia trip, I went on a Great Ocean Road road trip. This time I went with friends to a beach house in Aireys Inlet. At the beach we went for surfing. In the beginning I was kinda scared of the big waves because they made me fall of the board each time. After a while I got used to it more and more until I was able to stand up on the board for a moment a couple of times. In the end it was lots of fun and I really want to try it again. I guess it is also a thing you have to try while being in Australia.

At the end of the day we had a nice BBQ in the garden of the beach house where we were staying. It was a lovely location for a barbecue because the garden was covered in beautiful flowers. Along the Great Ocean Road you find many wonderful houses close to the beach. Many wealthy people have houses here for weekend trips. Some of them look really modern and fancy while others are cute little houses with beautiful gardens.

The next day, after our BBQ night, we went to a lookout on top of a little hill close to the house. The view on the ocean was really breathtaking. Since the spot is not so popular amongst tourists, it is pretty quite up there. Moreover the Split Point Lighthouse on top of the hill is great to see.
